Advisories NCA August Exams Will Be in Online Format
In response to the continuing impact of COVID-19, the Federation of Law Societies of Canada will introduce online delivery for all exams scheduled for August 2020 by the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA). This will allow the NCA to protect the health of candidates and those who administer the NCA exams, which until now have been in-person events.
The specific schedule for each subject will be posted at a later date. Additional details regarding the online presentation of the NCA exams will be released in advance of the exams.
All candidates who register for the NCA exams scheduled for August will also be notified by email. Please note that registration closes June 19, 2020.
The security and integrity of the examinations are a priority for the NCA. The administration of the NCA exams and remote proctoring, both administered by external service providers, follow industry best practices in compliance with standards defined by international accrediting bodies.
As public health measures regarding social distancing remain in place, the NCA is currently unable to confirm the scheduling of future in-person examinations. As a result, online delivery of NCA exams will continue until further notice.
