Advisories From the Licensing and Accreditation department of the Law Society of Ontario: NCA candidates enrolling in the LPP – Create a Draft LPP registration by May 23, 2025

If you are completing your final NCA requirements by early June 2025 and intend to register for the 2025 Law Practice Program (LPP) commencing this August, the deadline to register for the Law Practice Program (LPP) is July 15, 2025.

Since the LSO may not receive confirmation that you completed the NCA requirements by the July 15, 2025 LPP registration deadline, you will be unable to fully register for the LPP unless you create a DRAFT registration for the LPP in LSO Connects on or before May 23, 2025.

Once you create the draft registration for the LPP by May 23, 2025, the LSO will adjust your account by May 30, 2025. You must then return to your draft registration, pay for and submit the LPP registration by July 15, 2025. Note that this account adjustment does not entitle you to register for any licensing examination until the NCA provides confirmation to the LSO that you completed your NCA requirements. Do not attempt to register for an examination until the confirmation of completion has been received and processed by the LSO, as you will be removed from the examination sitting.

If you have already created a draft registration for the LPP, no further activity is required before May 23, 2025. If you have already created a registration and submitted the registration by making full payment, no further action is required.

To remain registered in the LPP, the LSO must receive confirmation from the NCA that you successfully completed your NCA requirements on or before August 7, 2025. If the LSO does not receive this confirmation by August 7, 2025, you will be removed from the 2025 LPP and must complete your experiential training requirement at a later date.

Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.
