Advisories NCA COVID-19 Update #4
Please be advised that the NCA will open registration for August 2020 exams on May 1, and close registration at noon (Eastern) on June 19. The NCA will offer all May exam subjects in August, along with the subjects previously scheduled for that exam period. Those who were registered for exams in May and did not cancel have been automatically registered for the same subject in the August exam session.
The expanded number of exams, and the expected increase in the number of exam writers, has required a change in the August exam dates. The exam session will now be August 13-14 and August 17-21.
For those NCA candidates who registered for exams in May that were cancelled: please log into the NCA Portal and verify that your exams have been transferred to August. Anyone wishing to register for additional exams in August can do so once registration opens on May 1.
However, If you wish to cancel or change your exam selection, please note:
If you wish to cancel your re-scheduled exams, you may do so without penalty through the NCA Portal by clicking on the “Refund” button located beside the exam(s) you wish to cancel. You will need to request a refund for each exam individually (as opposed to selecting multiple exams at the same time). You will find the refund option under the “Exam History” heading of the “My Course Info” tab.
If you wish to change one of your exams, please send an email request along with your NCA File number to [email protected] specifying which exam you would like to take in lieu of one you are currently registered for.
Those applicants wishing to write their exams in a location other than Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto or New Delhi, must send an email with your requested location to [email protected]. We will update our registration system to reflect your preferred exam location once registration closes on June 19.
We continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will comply with all government and health authority orders in effect for the August exam period. In compliance with current government of Ontario orders, the offices of the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) are closed until further notice. Many members of our staff are working remotely so as much of the NCA work as possible can continue.
