Advisories Removal of the NCA Tax Exam

Please be advised that the NCA will soon cease offering a Taxation exam. If you have to clear a Taxation exam failure to meet the requirements of your NCA assessment, please make sure you are registered by July 4th, 2024 for the last scheduled Taxation exam, which will be offered online on August 20, 2024.

NCA candidates who do not clear a Taxation exam failure with the August 2024 exam must complete that subject at a Canadian law school in a course approved by the NCA. If you were assigned optional subjects in your NCA Assessment, Taxation will no longer be an option.

NCA Change Fee

Please be advised that effective March 1, 2024 the fee for an assessment by the NCA (Assessment Fee) will be $400 CDN plus applicable taxes. The NCA operates on a cost recovery basis. It therefore adjusts its fees from time to time as required.
